String Beans With Thyme and Sage

Several years ago a friend of mine came over and made this recipe. I fell in love with it and everyone I have served it to loves it. It goes well with just about everything from pork chops to roasts to fried fish. Use fresh string beans, preferrably thin ones for the best flavor. I use turkey bacon, but any kind of bacon will work and if you are a vegetarian, omitting it completely won't make it any less delicious. Show more
