Strawberry Ice

Use your 4-qt. ice cream maker to create this summer time treat! Don't be afraid to get creative and try other types of fruit.

• Yields: 4 quarts

Ingredients

• 2  quarts fresh strawberries or 2  quarts frozen strawberries, thawed
• 1  cup sugar
• 2  cups water
• 2  tablespoons lemon juice

Directions

1. Puree strawberries and combine with sugar. Let stand 2 hours.
2. Add water and lemon juice. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
3. Freeze as directed by the ice cream maker's manufacturer's instructions.
