Strawberry Dessert Cake

This is an easy-to-make cake that 'goes well' with those of us who enjoy strawberries!

Ingredients

  • 1 (18 1/2ounce) package  white cake mix
  • 3  eggs
  • 12 cup  vegetable oil
  • 1  cup water
  • 1 (4 3/4ounce) package  strawberry-flavor danish dessert mix (JUNKET brand)
  • 1  cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 4  teaspoons warm water
  • 2  cups fresh strawberries, sliced (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Grease and flour a 15" x 10" baking dish.
  3. In large electric mixer bowl, stir together cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, 1 cup water and Danish Dessert mix.
  4. With electric mixer, beat at medium speed for 3 minutes.
  5. Pour into prepared baking dish.
  6. Bake for about 45 minutes or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean.
  7. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan by inverting onto serving plate.
  8. Stir together powdered sugar and warm water; drizzle over cake.
  9. If desired, before serving, top with sliced, fresh strawberries.
