Strawberry Angel Dessert Squares

1st place winner submitted by Hazel Catlin. I found this recipe in The Evening Times Holiday Cookbook newspaper. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting this for safe keeping. I plan to use sugar free gelatin, to make homemade strawberries in syrup and to use a sugar free angel food cake. Show more

  1. In large bowl, dissolve gelatin in 2 cups boiling water. Stir in strawberries. Refrigerate until slightly thickened, about 15-30 minutes.
  2. Fold in whipped topping. Fold in cake. Spoon evenly into ungreased 13" x 9"-inch pan, cover. Refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes.
