Steamed Yellowtail With Kimchi and Daikon

A very tasty fish recipe that is guaranteed a family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 2  pieces  yellowtail  fish
  • 60  g  korean  pickled napa cabbage (kimchi)
  • 50  g daikon radishes
  • 1  teaspoon  sesame oil
  • 12 garlic clove, grated
  • 2  tablespoons sake
  • 4  tablespoons  dashi stock
  • 12 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 12 tablespoon sugar
  • 12 teaspoon  red pepper powder (gochugaru)
  • 1  teaspoon  red pepper paste (gochujang)

Directions

  1. Peel and slice the daikon into thin-bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a microwave-safe dish, spread the daikon slices. Spread the kimchi on top of the daikon then add the fish on top.
  3. In a bowl, combine sesame oil, grated garlic, sake, dashi stock, soy sauce, sugar, gochujang and gochugaru. Mix well until the ingredients are combined well.
  4. Pour the sauce over the fish then cover or wrap the dish with a microwave-safe cling wrap.
  5. Cook in the microwave for 5 minutes using 600W.
  6. Add some chopped scallions on top then serve hot with rice.
