Steamed Beef With Cream of Rice

Ingredients
- 1 lb beef, sliced 2-inch x 1-inch x 1/8-inch
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sherry wine
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground aniseed
- 1 cup cream of rice
- 3⁄4 cup brown sugar
- parsley, for garnishing
Directions
- Marinate beef in soy sauce, sherry, and cornstarch for 10 minutes.
- Mix cream of rice cereal, brown sugar and ground anise.
- Coat beef with cream of rice mixture.
- Place meat in a bowl; place bowl in steamer.
- Steam 2 hours.
- Garnish with parsley.
- Serve hot.
- Note: I have no idea how many this serves so I'm guessing maybe 6 as part of a chinese meal.
