Directions

  1. Peel and crush garlic cloves.
  2. Place steaks in a 9 x 13" pan and add garlic, stout, sugar, Worcesterhsire and oil.
  3. Turn to coat each side.
  4. Marinade in refrigerator at least 3 hours or overnight.
  5. Remove steaks from marinade; reserve marinade.
  6. Sprinkle crushed peppercorns over the steaks and press them into the meat.
  7. Cook steaks on a hot fire, basting them occasionally with the reserved marinade (take care--fire may flare up from the alcohol).
  8. Turn steaks once only.
  9. cook 3-6 minutes each side depending on whether you like rare, medium or well done.
