Steak Marinade - Flank Steak

Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 lbs beef flank steak
- 1⁄2 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon onion, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
- 1- Pierce flank steak with a fork on both sides and place in ziploc bag.
- 2- In a small bowl combine soy sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, onion, ginger and pepper.
- 3- If you have time, place flank steak and marinde in ziploc bag overnight and refrigerate for at least 6 hours. Otherwise, microwave the marinade sauce in its bowl (not the ziploc bag) for 20 seconds on high, then place flank steak and marinade in the ziploc bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- 4- Preheat grill/oven on high broil.
- 5- For indoor cooking, lightly spray a pan and place steak (without marinade) into the pan. For outdoor cooking, lightly oil grill and place steak on grill.
- 6- Grill/Broil steak for 7-8 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.
