  1. In a large bowl, place margarine, sugar, cinnamon and essence and cream for about 15 minutes until fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in the baking powder.
  3. Fold in flour.
  4. Pre heat oven to 350 degrees.
  5. Grease an eight or nine inch cake pan and then dust lightly with a little flour.
  6. Pour batter into pan and bake for 40 minutes or until middle springs back and the sides leave the pan. (a little trick insert a tooth pick into cake and if it comes out clean it is done).
  7. Let cool thoroughly in pan and then remove.
