Split Pea Soup With Ham

Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 quarts water
- 1 (14 ounce) can chicken broth
- 1 lb dried split peas
- 1 1⁄2 cups cubed lean ham
- 1 1⁄2 cups chopped onions
- 1 cup chopped carrot
- 1⁄2 cup sliced celery
- 1 -2 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
- 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 4-6 hours.
- Variation: make soup as above, except omit ham and add ½ cup pearl barley. Increase water to 2 quarts.
