Spicy Island Shrimp

Ingredients
- 1 large green pepper, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 2 1⁄4 lbs uncooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1⁄4-1⁄2 teaspoon white pepper
- 1⁄4-1⁄2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions
- In a large skillet, saute the green pepper and onion in butter until tender.
- Reduce heat; add shrimp.
- Cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in tomato sauce, green onions, parsley and seasonings.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes or until slightly thickened.
