Spicy Hoisin Marinade for Chicken

Plan ahead the chicken needs to marinate for a minimum or 6 hours. There is enough marinade for about 8-10 pieces of chicken or less, but it can be doubled. This is a wonderful marinade for chicken!

• Yields: 2 cups (approx)

Ingredients

• 2⁄3 cup hoisin sauce
• 1 -2  tablespoon  finely grated peeled ginger
• 2  tablespoons  minced fresh garlic
• 2 -4  teaspoons hot red pepper flakes (use more for extreme heat!)
• 1  teaspoon  sesame oil
• 3  tablespoons honey
• 2  tablespoons soy sauce
• 1 1⁄2 tablespoons  rice wine vinegar

Directions

1. Whisk all ingredients together.
2. Place the chicken in a large bowl or dish.
3. Pour the sauce over the chicken and toss to completely coat with the sauce.
4. Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 6 hours or overnight.
