Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 lbs stew beef chunks
- 1 (1 ounce) envelope onion soup mix
- 3 cups water
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 (16 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
- 2 carrots (cut up)
- 1 celery (cut up)
- 2 medium potatoes (cut up)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
Directions
- Brown beef in oil.
- Drain off excess oil.
- Mix soup mix, tomatos, water and chili powder.
- Cook uncovered 30 minutes.
- Add vegetables and cook 45 minutes.
