Speedy Hamburger-Rice Hotdish

Yields: 1 casserole

Ingredients

  • 1  tablespoon mustard
  • 1  tablespoon ketchup
  • 4  cups  cooked MINUTE rice
  • 34 cup water
  • 1 (10 1/2ounce) can  condensed  vegetable soup
  •  onion salt (to taste)
  • 12 lb beef
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon pepper
  • 1  tablespoon butter

Directions

  1. Brown hamburger in butter and flavor with onion salt.
  2. Stir in soup, water, ketchup, mustard, salt and pepper.
  3. Mix very well.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
  6. While simmering, cook your 4 cups instant rice.
  7. Stir cooked rice into meat mixture.
  8. Spoon into casserole dish and put under broiler for 3-5 minutes or until bubbly.
  9. *Notes: Time may vary depending on oven.
  10. Depending on consitency after adding rice, an extra 1/4 c water may need to be added before broiling.
