Spanish Rice

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 cup celery, sliced
- 1 large green pepper, half chopped and half sliced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 3⁄4 cup white rice
- 1 cup water
Directions
- In large pot Brown beef, onion,celery and green pepper. Cook and drain fat. Add rice,water,tomatoes and sauce.Add bayleaf,sugar,salt,black peper and worcestershire sauce. Mix well. Pour into baking dish. Bake @375 for about 25 minutes, stir occassionally. Add sliced green pepper mix well and bake another 20 minutes. If looks dry add a 1/3 cup more water. If you want it to be hotter add Hot pepper flakes a shake or two.
