Spaghetti

this is a plain and simple recipe my mother used to make me.

  1. Bring water to a boil in a large saucepan; add salt and oil. Add spaghetti so water is always boiling.
  2. Cook, stirring occasionally until al dente. Drain in a colander and rinse if desired. Serve hot with meat sauce. Brown beef in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add chopped onions and saute until onions are transparent. Stir in mushrooms and diced tomatoes, tomato juice. Simmer and cover for 15 minutes; stir occasionally. Serve hot over spaghetti and sprinkle with cheese.
