Southwestern Raisin Sauce

Yields: 3 Cups
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1⁄3 cup onion, chopped
- 1⁄3 cup bell pepper, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 cup water
- 2⁄3 cup ripe olives, sliced & pitted
- 1⁄2 cup dark raisin
- 1 tablespoon sherry wine
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 -3 dashes bottled hot sauce (Your favorite)
Directions
- In a sauce pan, saute the onion, bell pepper and garlic in the butter for 3-4 minutes Place all remaining ingredients in the same pan and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minuets.
- Use warem or chill 24 hours for a better melding of the flavors.
