Southern Peanut Butter Pie

Yields: 1 pie
Ingredients
- 1 cup syrup, corn
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1⁄2 cup smooth peanut butter or 1⁄2 cup crunchy peanut butter
- 1 pie shell, 9 unbaked
- 1 cup whipping cream, whipped
Directions
- Combine corn syrup, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and peanut butter; blend well.
- Pour into pie shell and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake an additional 35 minutes; cool.
- To serve, top with whipped cream.
