Southern Peanut Butter Pie

Yields: 1 pie

Ingredients

  • 1  cup  syrup, corn
  • 1  cup sugar
  • 3  eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1  teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 cup  smooth peanut butter or 12 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 1  pie shell, 9 unbaked
  • 1  cup  whipping cream, whipped

Directions

  1. Combine corn syrup, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and peanut butter; blend well.
  2. Pour into pie shell and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake an additional 35 minutes; cool.
  4. To serve, top with whipped cream.
