Southern Hot Buttered Rum

Ingredients
- 8 cups apple cider
- 6 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh
- 15 allspice berries
- 10 whole cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks, broken into small bits
- 5 teaspoons honey, dark
- 4 teaspoons butter, unsalted
- 2 cups rum, dark
Directions
- Boil first 6 ingredients about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat, add butter, stir till melted, strain into 8 warm mugs, and divide rum among them.
