Sour Cream Cookies

Whenever my grandmother would come over (which wasn't often), she would make these. I love having them, and, despite the strange name with 'sour cream' and 'cookies' in it, it is absolutely amazing!

Ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup shortening
• 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
• 2  eggs
• 4  cups flour
• 2  teaspoons baking powder
• 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1⁄4 cup sour cream
• 1  teaspoon vanilla
•  candy sprinkles (optional)

Directions

1. Cream shortening and sugar, then add eggs and cream.
2. After, add the rest of the ingredients.
3. Mix.
4. Spoon into sugar and roll.
5. Place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
6. Bake at 325 degrees for 12-14 minutes.
7. Enjoy!
