Sour Cream Chocolate Chip Cookies

For chewy cookies, put a piece of ordinary bread in with cookies in an airtight container.

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F
  2. Sift together dry ingredients; set aside.
  3. Cream together shortening & sugar.
  4. Gradually add egg whites, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla sour cream.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to cream mixture. When mixed well, add chocolate chips and pecans.
  6. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake 12-15 minutes.
