Sour Cream Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 3⁄4 cups sugar
- 1⁄3 cup egg white
- 1 tablespoon egg white
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup low-fat sour cream
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 4 1⁄2 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F
- Sift together dry ingredients; set aside.
- Cream together shortening & sugar.
- Gradually add egg whites, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla sour cream.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to cream mixture. When mixed well, add chocolate chips and pecans.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 12-15 minutes.
