  1. 1. Preheat oven to 375. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. 2. In small bowl, beat egg whites; set aside.
  3. 3. In small bowl, mis baking soda and sour cream; set aside.
  4. 4. In large bowl, cream sugar and butter. Mix in egg yolks, sour cream mixture, salt, egg whites, and vanilla. Sift baking powder and 2 cups flour, and mix.
  5. 5. Continue mixing, adding small amounts of sifted flour at a time (You may not need all 5 cups. Final mixture should be too stiff for mixer so it will have to be mixed by hand.).
  6. 6. Roll out dough on floured surface, cut out circles and place on baking sheets. Bake 12-15 minutes.
  7. 7. Serve, storing leftovers in an airtight container.
