Sour Cream Apple Pie

I found this recipe enclosed with a frozen pie shell. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven and cookie sheet to 400 degrees.
  2. In small bowl, mix together egg, sour cream and extract.
  3. Add to dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Stir in apples.
  5. Pour into pie crust.
  6. Bake on preheated cookie sheet for 15 minutes.
  7. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees and continue baking for 30 minutes or until golden.
  8. Topping:
  9. In small bowl, combine 1/3 cup sugar, 1/3 cup flour, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 2 tablespoons softened butter.
  10. Mix until crumbly.
  11. Remove pie from oven.
  12. Increase oven temperature to 400 degrees.
  13. Sprinkle topping over filling.
  14. Return pie to oven and bake 10 minutes more or until golden.
