Sour Cream Apple Coffee Cake

Another great recipe given to me by a friend. Make sure the apples don't touch the sides of the bundt pan....this will prevent the cake sticking to the pan. Show more

Directions

  1. Cream together the sugar and shortening.
  2. Add eggs, sour cream, vanilla, flour baking soda and salt.
  3. Beat till smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar, cinnamon and nuts.
  5. Grease a tube of bundt pan.
  6. Pour 1/2 of the cake batter into the pan.
  7. Add 1/2 of the sugar/cinnamon/nut mixture.
  8. Add 'all' of the apples.
  9. Add remaining batter.
  10. Add remainder of the filling.
  11. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
