Soup-Bowl Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 small head cabbage, chopped
- 2 1⁄2 cups water
- 2⁄3 cup uncooked long grain rice
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- grated parmesan cheese (optional)
Directions
- In a nonstock Dutch oven, cook beef and garlic over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink and drain.
- Stir in the next 8 ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer covered until rice is tender, 25 to 30 minutes.
- Stir in tomatoes and salt and heat through. If desired, sprinkle with cheese.
