Sorrel Pesto

Ingredients

  • 14 cup  organic green onion
  • 12 cup  plus 1 tsp. pure 100% olive oil, divided
  • 2 (75 ml) packages sorrel
  • 14 cup  slivered almonds
  • 1  tablespoon  lemon zest and lemon juice
  • 12 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. In a skillet on medium heat, cook green onions, with 1 teaspoons olive oil until translucent, about 5 minutes. Place onions and the remaining ingredients into a blender and purée until smooth. Enjoy with baked chicken breasts, fish, pasta or vegetables.
