Soaked Bread Pudding

- Break bread into small pieces.
- Place in a bowl and cover with cold water.
- Soak 30 minutes, drain well, squeeze moisture from bread.
- Place dried fruit, butter, marmalade, egg, nutmeg and vanilla in a bowl.
- Add bread, mix well.
- Blend in enough milk to make a stick consistency.
- Pour into greased 18 cm square tin.
- Bake in moderate oven 180 C for 1 hour or till firm.
- Rest in tin for 10 minutes then turn out.
- Delicious hot or cold.
