Smothered Beef

This recipe was passed down from Grandma. Very tasty, distinct, and addicting flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2  lbs  stew meat
  • 1 (2 ounce) package  dry onion soup mix
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans  cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms
  • 12 cup sherry wine

Directions

  1. Mix all but meat, pour over meat and bake at 350°F for 2 1/2- 3 hours or in crock pot all day.
  2. Serve over rice, egg noodles, or my favorite--mashed potatoes.
