Smoked Trout Spread

A very delicious festive appetizer. Quite easy to whip up on short notice.

Directions

  1. Mix cream cheese and tobasco in a bowl with wooden spoon.
  2. Coarsely flake trout on top using your hands.
  3. Gently work into cheese until evenly distributed, keep mixture as chunky as possible.
  4. Thinly slice onion.
  5. Finely dice red pepper.
  6. Gently mix 1/2 onion and all of red pepper into trout mixture.
  7. Put into serving bowl and garnish with remaining onion.
  8. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  9. Serve with crackers or baguette slices.
