Smoked Sausage Supper

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup chopped onion
- 1⁄2 cup chopped green pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 (16 ounce) can whole tomatoes (broken up)
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1⁄2 teaspoon basil leaves
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 lb smoked sausage (cut up)
- 1 cup apple cider
- 2 cups uncooked macaroni
Directions
- In medium size skillet, cook onions and green pepper in butter until tender.
- Add tomatoes, tomato paste and seasonings.
- Simmer on low for 10 minutes.
- In another skillet, bring cider to boil, add sausage, and simmer 10 minutes.
- Prepare macaroni according to package directions, drain arrange on platter, top with sausage and sauce.
