  1. Brown ground beef (and onion, if not using onion powder) in medium sized pot.
  2. Drain grease, if needed.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and stir until well mixed.
  4. Bring pot to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
  5. Cover pot and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  6. Thicken with cornstarch mixed with water, if needed.
