Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff

A friend shared this recipe with me, and it's always a hit. Sometimes I have trouble finding cream of onion soup, but cream of mushroom works almost as well. I use a liner for the slow cooker to make clean-up easier. Show more

Serves: 6

Ingredients

  • 2  lbs beef stew meat
  • 1  cup  chopped onion
  • 1 (10 3/4ounce) can  condensed golden mushroom soup
  • 1 (10 3/4ounce) can  condensed  cream of onion soup
  • 1 (6 ounce) jar  sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 14 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 8  ounces cream cheese, cubed
  • 8  ounces sour cream
  • 6  cups  hot  cooked noodles

Directions

  1. Combine first 6 ingredients in the slow cooker crock.
  2. Cook on low setting 6-8 hours.
  3. Stir in cream cheese and sour cream.
  4. Cover & cook about 1/2 hour or until cheese is melted. Stir well.
  5. Serve over hot noodles.
