Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Sandwiches

Really yummy BBQ chicken sandwiches made in a slow cooker. I found it in a Taste of Home Slow Cooker Cookbook, just keeping it here for safe keeping. ENJOY!

• Serves: 8-10
• Yields: 8-19 sandwiches

Ingredients

• 2  broiler or 2  fryer chickens, cooked & shredded
• 1  large onion, chopped
• 2  cups water
• 1 1⁄4 cups ketchup
• 1⁄4 cup  packed brown sugar
• 1⁄4 cup Worcestershire sauce
• 1⁄4 cup red wine vinegar
• 1  teaspoon salt, celery seed & chili powder
• 1⁄4 teaspoon  hot pepper sauce
•  hamburger bun

Directions

1. In a 3- quart slow cooker, combine all ingredients except buns. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours in the slow cooker. Serve on buns.
