Slow Cooked Three Beans and Sausage

Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 lbs smoked sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (15 1/2ounce) can great northern beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup water
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2⁄3 cup celery
- 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granule
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 bay leaf
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
- 1⁄4 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
- hot cooked rice
Directions
- In a 5-quart slow cooker, combine the first 12 ingredients.
- Sprinkle with oregano and thyme if desired.
- Cover and simmer on low for 4 to 4-1/2 hours or until heated through.
- Discard bay leaf.
- Serve with rice.
