Slow Cooked Meatballs

Ingredients
- 1 egg, beaten
- 6 tablespoons Italian breadcrumbs
- 1⁄4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1⁄4 cup finely chopped celery
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
- 1⁄8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1⁄8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 2 teaspoons cooking oil
- 10 ounces low-sodium cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup water
- 9 ounces turkey gravy
- 1 bay leaf
- 1⁄2 teaspoon lemon peel
- 1⁄2 teaspoon thyme
- mashed potatoes or noodles
Directions
- In a large bowl combine eggs, bread crumbs, onion, celery, parsley, pepper, garlic powder and mix. Add ground turkey and mix together. Shape mixture into 1"-inch meatballs. Should make 2 dozen.
- In a large skillet, heat oil and brown meatballs. You can do half at a time. Drain fat and place in slow cooker.
- For gravy combine cream of mushroom soup, gravy mix, water, lemon peel, thyme. Mix well. Add bay leaf and then pour mixture over meatballs.
- Cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or on HIGH for 3-4 hours. Remove bay leaf and enjoy!
