Slow Cooked Beef

Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2-2 kg beef
- 1⁄2 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1⁄2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 stalks celery
- 400 g crushed tomatoes
- 250 g mushrooms, diced
- 4 small onions, diced
- 1⁄2 cup red wine
Directions
- place first 8 ingredients in a bag or bowl to marinade. Overnight is best.
- In crock pot place tomatoes, onion, mushrooms and red wine.
- Add meat to crock pot - put to low heat.
- Place marinade into a separate pot and bring to the boil.
- Add to crock - pot.
- Cover the meat in the sauce.
- Cook on low overnight.
