Skillet Cornbread

Ingredients
- 2 cups biscuit mix
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter (not margarine)
- 1 cup half-and-half cream
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
Directions
- Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Scald the butter and cream then add to the dry ingredients.
- Mix in the eggs.
- Grease and flour a 9 or 10 inch cast iron skillet.
- Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
