Simple Strawberry Syrup (for Pancakes)

A simple (and cheap) replacement for store bought.

Directions

  1. Combine geletin, cornstarch, and sugar in a large saucepan.
  2. Add water and stir to combine.
  3. Add strawberries and mash (I use my potato masher) to break into small pieces.
  4. Heat over medium-high heat until mixture boils.
  5. Continue to boil for 1 minute or until syrup thickens.
  6. Cool.
  7. Store in fridge.
  8. Warm syrup to serve.
