Simple Shortbread

Yields: 6 dozen
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1⁄2 cup sifted powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- sugar
Directions
- Cream butter, gradullay add powdered sugar, beating until ight and fluffy.Stir in flour ( will be stiff). Press into a 15 x 10 x 1 inch jellyroll pan. prick all over witha fork. Chill 30 minutes.
- Bake at 375F for 5 minutes, reduceing to 300F, and bake an additionl 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Cut into suares or diamond shapes, while warm, sprinkle with sugar.
