Simple Shortbread

This recipe is really simple, but is so good. It's great just to have around the house, when you want a bite of something sweet. And my nieces and nephews used to like to chew on then when they were toddlers. Show more

  1. Cream butter, gradullay add powdered sugar, beating until ight and fluffy.Stir in flour ( will be stiff). Press into a 15 x 10 x 1 inch jellyroll pan. prick all over witha fork. Chill 30 minutes.
  2. Bake at 375F for 5 minutes, reduceing to 300F, and bake an additionl 20 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Cut into suares or diamond shapes, while warm, sprinkle with sugar.
