Simple Mexican Wedding Cookies

Yields: 24 cookies

Ingredients

  • 12 cup butter
  • 14 cup water
  • 1  teaspoon orange zest
  • 1  egg white
  • 1 (18 ounce) box  white cake mix
  • 12 cup  chopped  nuts (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375. Mix butter, water, vanilla, orange zest and egg white thoroughly. Mix in cake mix and nuts until dough holds together. Shape into one inch balls. Place about two inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until almost set, about ten minutes. While warm dip tops in powdered sugar, cool.
