Simple Butter Sauce

A sweet butter sauce that goes very nicely with warm gingerbread. The serving information assumes 1 batch made for 1 loaf of gingerbread loaf.

Ingredients

• 1  cup sugar
• 1⁄2 cup butter
• 1⁄2 cup evaporated milk
• 1  teaspoon vanilla

Directions

1. Heat ingredients in medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil.
2. Serve warm over individual servings of gingerbread.
