Sherried Beef

My bachelor uncle gave me this recipe. It is easy to make and pop in the oven while you do other things and tastes great. Show more

Serves: 8-10

Ingredients

  • 3  lbs stewing beef
  • 2  cans  cream of mushroom soup
  • 34 cup sherry wine (may use 1 Cup)
  • 12 package  dry onion soup mix
  • 1  cup  chopped mushroom

Directions

  1. Cut Meat into 1 inch cubes.
  2. Combine all ingredients in large casserole dish.
  3. Sprinkle in a little cornstarch.
  4. Cover and Bake@ 325 degrees for 3 hours.
  5. Add chopped mushrooms 15 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve over cooked rice or noodles.
