  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together cream, half and half, sugar, and flour (a whisk removes lumps easily).
  3. Pour the mixture into the pie shell, dot with the butter and sprinkle the nutmeg on top.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes; reduce oven temp to 350 degrees.
  5. Wrap edges of crust with foil to prevent excessive browning and bake 45 minutes more or until a knife inserted comes out clean.
  6. Cool on a wire rack before serving; can be served warm.
