Seven Layered Magic Cookie Bars

We clipped this recipe from the coupon section a few years ago and enjoy the tasty treat at Christmas. We like to add red and green baking bits on top to make them festive, and we sometimes leave out the nuts.

Ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup butter or 1⁄2 cup margarine
• 1⁄2 cup graham cracker crumbs
• 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
• 1  cup  butterscotch chips
• 1  cup  semi-sweet chocolate chips
• 1 1⁄3 cups flaked coconut
• 1  cup  nuts, chopped

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 degrees if using a glass dish).
2. In a 13x9-inch baking pan, melt butter in oven.
3. Sprinkle crumbs evenly on top of the butter.
4. Top with remaining ingredients in order listed; press down firmly with fork.
5. Bake 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
6. Cool; chill if desired.
7. Cut into bars and store covered at room temperature.
