Sesame Garlic Chicken

Yields: 24 pieces

Ingredients

  • 6  lbs  boneless chicken thighs, with skin
  • 12 cup flour
  • 12 cup cornstarch
  •  salt and pepper, to taste
  •  vegetable oil, for frying
  •  sesame seeds, for garnish
  •  chopped green onion, for garnish
  • Garlic Sauce

  • 12 cup soy sauce
  • 1  cup mirin
  • 1  tablespoon  sesame oil
  • 1  teaspoon  chili flakes
  • 1  teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 2  tablespoons  minced sauteed garlic

Directions

  1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces. Combine with flour, cornstarch, salt and pepper. Refrigerate 2 hours.
  2. To make sauce: Combine ingredients in small saucepan and simmer until reduced by half. Cool to room temperature.
  3. Heat 1 inch of oil in a frying pan. Pan-fry chicken until cooked through.
  4. Combine chicken with sauce. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onion.
