Serge Theophile's Chili-Hot Fruit Salad

This recipe is from Mauritius and I found it in the Chicago Tribune or NY Times many years ago.

Serves: 4-6

Ingredients

  • 1  fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1  mango, peeled, seeded, and diced
  • 1  papaya, peeled, seeded, and diced
  • 14 cup  chipped of fresh mint
  • 12 cup rum
  • 1  teaspoon  chopped  hot pepper

Directions

  1. Place all the ingredients in a bowl and toss until well-blended. Chill for at least 2 hours, toss again, and serve.
