Scarborough Fair Turkey Burgers

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1⁄4 medium red onion, minced
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1⁄2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1⁄3 cup parsley, chopped and loosely packed
- 1 teaspoon fresh sage, minced
- 2 teaspoons rosemary, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
Directions
- Saute garlic and onions in olive oil for 3 minutes over medium heat. Add the garlic and saute for another 2 minutes until the garlic begins to brown. Remove from heat. Transfer the onions, garlic, and oil to a bowl to cool down.
- Once the onions are cool to the touch, add the ground turkey, salt, pepper, and herbs into the bowl. Using your hands, gently mix everything until well combined. You want the herbs mixed in without overworking the meat and form into patties, lightly brush a layer of olive oil onto each side of the patties.
- Cook the burgers to medium well: Cook on a hot grill or in a cast iron frying pan for 5-6 minutes per side, until cooked through If using a grill, .
