Savory Tahoe Sweet Toast

Yummy french toast. Served with ice cream and or fruit sauces. The recipe comes from The old Tahoe Cafe and KCRA TV.

• Yields: 1 batch sweet toast

Ingredients

•  bread
• 7  eggs
• 1  cup milk
• 1⁄2 cup sugar
• 1  teaspoon cinnamon
• 1  dash nutmeg
• 1  teaspoon vanilla
• 1  orange, zest of

Directions

1. Blend all Ingredients (EXCEPT Bread), Preferably in a blender or a stick mixer.
2. Dip bread in batter and fry until golden brown on each side.
3. If you wish, top with Vanilla Ice Cream and your choice of Fruit Sauces.
