Ingredients
- 1 yellow squash
- 1 1⁄2 cups walnut pieces
- 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
- spike seasoning
- ground black pepper
- nutmeg
Directions
- Wash yellow squash and mushrooms, and slice yellow squash into discs approximately 1/4-1/3" thick with medium- to large-sized discs additionally cut in half.
- Add sliced squash, mushrooms, and walnut pieces to plastic, microwave steamer bag of appropriate size; recommended seasonings: lightly season with ground black pepper and nutmeg, season a little more liberally with Spike. Seal bag and shake contents to distribute spices.
- Follow microwave cooking directions given on steamer bag package, as pertaining to cooking fresh squash.
