Directions

  1. In a large, shallow bowl crack eggs and add milk as desired to create enough egg mixture to saturate 8 pieces of texas toast. Whip the mixture with a fork until combined.
  2. Heat a griddle or frying pan to medium high heat.
  3. Soak 1 or 2 pieces of toast fully with egg mixture, flipping in the bowl to fully saturate each piece.
  4. Meanwhile melt approx 1 tsp of butter in the spot of each piece of toast, as soon as it melts place piece of toast in the spot.
  5. Watch toast carefully and when the down side is getting brown, flip the toast to cook opposite side, it shouldn't take very long if your pan is hot.
  6. Once both pieces are fully cooked and browned transfer to a plate and serve, two pieces topped with about a tbsp of soft butter, serve with syrup or jam as desired, I like mine with just the butter.
  7. Repeat steps 3 on until all toast is cooked.
